Foundation for Health Equity™ recognizes that our grantmaking on its own cannot solve the multi-faceted and systemic problems that affect the health our communities. We are working with a range of community partners, adding our voice where appropriate, to support efforts to improve local, state, and national policies and programs that have a meaningful impact on the health of all people in Northwest Philadelphia.
Examples of our advocacy efforts include educating the community on health issues, supporting efforts to get eligible individuals signed up for benefits (e.g. WIC, SNAP, CHIP), and generally elevating the needs of our grantees. Our efforts typically complement those of the Senior Law Center, Community Legal Services, and the PA Health Access Network, among other community organizations.
